Pre-Trip Packing Lists

Please choose your activity below to find a list of items you need to bring to stay safe and warm. If you don’t have any of these items, it is vital you let us know at least 48 hours in advance, just so we can bring spares.

  • Please ensure every member of your group brings the following items.

    • Warm layers, probably 1 or 2 more than you think. It will be chilly when you exit the water.

    • Rainproof top layer or dry robe.

    • Closed toe footwear for the crossings. No sliders, sandals or flip-flops.

    • Wooly hat, warm gloves and warm socks

    • Fresh water to drink

    • Thermal coffee cup. We’ll make you a cuppa after the swim and this will keep it hotter for longer.

    Prefer your own watersports kit? We supply the following items for everyone by default, but some people prefer to bring their own. Here are the specs we recommend if you prefer to do so.

    • Silicone mask and snorkel

    • Snorkelling or diving fins

    • Tow float

    • Wetsuit (5mm recommended, 3mm is ok if you are a very seasoned cold-water swimmer)

    • Neoprene gloves, 3mm+

    • Neoprene socks (2mm if using with our fins)
